This one will be short and sweet, as I am still battling jet lag. It’s now midnight and 4 hours later than most other nights!

Today was a *hot* (or “ron” in Thai) day that we spent visiting the Royal Thai Temple, along with 9000 of our closest friends and one fantastic personal tour guide. Here are a few pics from the beautiful temple (click on image for a larger view):

Overview of a few buildings, I’m in love with all of the pointed roofs:temple

One of the many guardians that greet you as you enter the inner temple area. They are easily 15 feet tall and a set is next to each of the doorframes:

These figures encircle the entire temple that house the Jade Buddha:
Another guardian, love the amazing decorated walls too, all so ornate:
Dog guardian, most are sculpted with a ball that can roll easily within the mouth:

Tomorrow we check out the weekend market! I wonder what I “need”.

It is wonderful to follow all your adventures through email. The food does look good, and so colorful! I can see why you went back. It looks so beautiful. May every day be blessed with a new happy awakening!
