Edit: This article originally appeared on my first website fierygivingtree.com which I’ve since closed.
And the Winner is Facebook user: Emma P!
The raffle promoted fundraising ideas.
Our winner provided a great message: “I think fundraisers are the best when people can share experiences – work side by side, contribute uniquely based on their skills/interests, have a party, etc.” I couldn’t agree with her more! I think fundraising is a great way to create a connection between people and allow individual skills to shine. I recently had the opportunity to fundraise for a walk benefiting my local hospice. We did a bake sale to fundraise donations and my company came together to bake, market, run the event or buy the goodies. As a company, we had wonderful participation and I’d rank that about as high as money earned. People getting involved is a beautiful thing!
So congratulations to Emma and thank you to everyone else who took the time to join and share their fundraising ideas!
I am just back from volunteering at a Bereavement camp for children. I am still processing and collecting those thoughts but keep an eye out for an overview of that volunteer event.
Good luck in the next raffle!
