“To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it.” – Kurt Vonnegut
I would hold this to be true. There have been times in the past where I have gone to an art show and felt a pain in my chest to see things so beautiful and be creating none of my own. Perhaps that was the call from my soul withering as I put art on the back burner yet again. I much prefer being excited about art!
I worked on this piece for hours also.
It is built on a layer of various pieces of paper collected adhered with white glue (curious how this will age), then acrylic paint, colored pencils, markers and a bit more of acrylic and markers. My girl could stand to pop more but I’ll call it done for today.
Lesson confirmed: color before outlying in black or get smearing.
