“Cultivate the root, the leaves and branches will take care of themselves” – Confucius

As you can guess, I love trees. I thought how trees of life are not tethered to anything though, encased in their circle, so I set out to expand their roots. I then ironically, stuck on an earth which seems to have defeated my original purpose, but may just speak to how I am not quite anchored these days, especially with the impending move where we will soon be without a base.

Mixed Media: base of thai writing, acrylic paint blotted, watercolor paint for tree, poster board ink for black, and earth stamp.
This took me a few hours of time happily spent.
