Spent the day in Ayutthaya, so got to this piece of art late in the day and could feel the need to make art all through the day, so that was a new nice feeling.
I felt like doing detail work but was immediately frustrated with my ability to translate image to page, so gave myself a break and went to my “Zentangle” books for inspiration.
This appears incomplete to me and yet I worked on it for about 3 hours, agonizing over how to fill each piece. Darn details! I’ll come back to it again in time also. Must sleep!!!

Pens, marker, and paper

Lessons Learned:
– Micron pens need a moment to dry or smear?
– Creating the full shape in pencil makes a better image.

I hope you do come back to this one, and post the progress. I love how the details pop in the part with the red ink. Really neat!

Well…I did. Still up for debate about the color choices made but I’m calling it done! 🙂
